Where our facts come from

Every outside source behind our dated facts, with its terms and the day we last read it.

We read a source only after reading its terms. Every fact we serve names its source, its link and the day it was read, on the page and in each MCP answer. A figure we could not read is shown as unknown, never as zero.

Some sources we read only for our own checks, because their terms do not allow republishing. They are not listed here, and their figures never appear on the site. How each number is put together is in the methods and on each number page.
