Glossary
Fee tier
The swap fee a concentrated-liquidity pool charges, fixed per pool — so one pair has several separate pools, each with its own liquidity and volume.
Uniswap v3 and its forks create a distinct pool for each fee level of a pair, typically 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.3% and 1%. Liquidity does not move between them, so the same two tokens can have a deep, cheap pool and a thin, expensive one at the same moment, and a router must pick.
Sato Hub reads each tier's pool directly and reports, per pair, which tier carried the most swap volume it observed — in the pool's own token units, over that pool's own covered window, never scaled up and never compared across pairs.
The busiest tier is not advice for a liquidity provider. Most volume is not most fee revenue per unit of capital, and impermanent loss is not modelled anywhere on this site.
