Agent Economy Index
The headline series Sato Hub measures about the onchain agent economy, one row each, with the date of the reading, how it was measured, the page that carries the full series and a public export that returns the same value. Newest reading: 2026-09-26.
Rows can carry different dates; each is true of its own. A per-chain series is never summed across chains, and a series with no reading says so rather than showing zero.

How each series is measured
- ERC-8004 registered agent ids
- One read of the ERC-8004 Identity Registry's own agent-id counter (`_lastId`, one storage read at the chain head) on each chain the registry is deployed to, covering the whole registry with no sampling.Window: The latest reading held for each chain, dated per row; rows can come from different days and are never summed.
- ERC-8004 new registrations per day
- The ERC-8004 Identity Registry's own agent-id counter (`_lastId`) read on each chain at the last block before the UTC midnight that closes the day, minus the same read at the last block before the midnight that opens it (both blocks found by timestamp), exact over the whole registry with no sampling, and unknown rather than zero on a chain whose node will not serve state that old.Window: One UTC day, 00:00 to 00:00 UTC.
- x402 facilitator transactions per day (upper bound)
- For every catalogued x402 facilitator key, the transactions it sent in the last complete UTC day (on EVM chains its nonce at the last block before each UTC midnight, end minus start; on Solana its fee-payer signatures in that day), summed per chain — an upper bound on settlements, not wash-filtered.Window: The last complete UTC day.
- x402 paid endpoints that answer a payment request
- Once a day, one unpaid request to each URL that declares x402 (GET, or POST when the server answers 405), counted as answering when it returns HTTP 402 with a payment payload a client can parse; no payment is ever sent.Window: Verifications from the last 7 days; an endpoint last verified before that is not counted as answering.
- Listed crypto MCP servers that answer
- Once a day, each listed MCP endpoint gets the handshake an anonymous client makes (initialize, then tools/list, 8-second deadline per request), and it answered when a protocolVersion came back and tools/list named at least one tool.Window: The latest daily probe run that read at least half the listed endpoints.
- Listings with public activity in the last 30 days
- A live listing counts when its newest observed public release or commit is at most 30 days old (lib/liveness.ts), read from the project's own repository and release feed.Window: The trailing 30 days from each listing's last check.
- Listings whose documented install Sato Hub reproduced
- A listing counts when its deploy spec, or one of its install variants, ran to completion in a clean container on Sato Hub's runner; the date of that run is on the listing.Window: Cumulative: every reproduced install on a live listing, each carrying its own run date.
