Coinbase AgentKit vs Solana Agent Kit

Every row read live from the directory · updated 2026-08-30

These two get compared constantly, and the comparison is slightly wrong from the start: they do not overlap on chains. AgentKit gives an agent a wallet and onchain actions on Base and Ethereum; Solana Agent Kit connects an agent to Solana protocol actions. For most builders the chain decision comes first and picks the toolkit for you.

Where the comparison does earn its keep is everything else — who maintains it, how open it is, whether it is still moving, and whether anyone has reproduced the install. Those are the axes below, read live from the directory rather than typed into copy that would go stale.

Pick Coinbase AgentKit if

  • ·You are building on Base or Ethereum, which is where the majority of onchain agent activity currently lands.
  • ·You want the wallet and the actions from one vendor, with CDP infrastructure behind them.
  • ·You value a maintainer with an obvious commercial reason to keep shipping — Coinbase sells the rails underneath it.

Pick Solana Agent Kit if

  • ·You are on Solana, where AgentKit does not reach at all.
  • ·You want breadth of protocol coverage — it is a skill repo, so the surface is protocol actions rather than a wallet abstraction.
  • ·You prefer an independent, community-maintained project over a first-party vendor toolkit.

What this cannot tell you

Neither Sato Score is a security assessment. Both are open source and both have a reproduced install, which is more than most listings can say — but neither has been audited, and the score does not credit anything that has not been independently checked. If you are giving either one signing power over real funds, read the key-handling code yourself.
