Balancer

Programmable-liquidity AMM protocol included as a Base MCP skill for agent-driven swaps and liquidity actions.

Overview

Balancer is a programmable-liquidity AMM protocol supporting custom pool weightings and composable pool types across several EVM chains. It was included as a launch-day plugin in the now-archived Base MCP (Coinbase archived the repo in May 2026); agents today integrate through Balancer's own contracts and SDK for swap routing and liquidity provisioning. In November 2025, an exploit in Balancer's V2 vault resulted in roughly $128M in losses; the protocol continues operating.
