Base launched a hosted MCP gateway on May 26, 2026 (The Block; blog.base.org/base-mcp). It connects a user's Base Account to MCP clients such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, with OAuth 2.1 sign-in. The agent prepares a transaction and sends a link that opens Base Account, where the user reviews simulated balance changes and confirms or cancels; the server never holds keys. Launch integrations were Morpho, Moonwell, Uniswap, Aerodrome, Avantis, Bankr and Virtuals. The endpoint is https://mcp.base.org/mcp and requires OAuth sign-in.
