dYdX
Perpetual futures DEX running on its own Cosmos SDK app-chain with REST/WebSocket and gRPC APIs.
Last release May 14, 2026 · Last commit Jul 23, 2026 · ★ 335
Overview
dYdX (v4) is a decentralized perpetual futures exchange that runs as its own Cosmos SDK / CometBFT application-specific blockchain (dYdX Chain). An Indexer service exposes REST and WebSocket APIs for market and account data, while orders are submitted as Cosmos transactions over gRPC; official TypeScript and Python clients support programmatic and bot/agent trading. The protocol and indexer are open source. Leverage, performance, and safety are not verified here.

5/ Why this move? dYdX Chain achieved real decentralization. But it also made clear the tradeoffs: performance and user experience suffered, and the market responded. Arcus combines dYdX's experience
5/ Why this move? dYdX Chain achieved real decentralization. But it also made clear the tradeoffs: performance and user experience suffered, and the market responded. Arcus combines dYdX's experience innovating in DeFi markets with Robinhood's world class expertise in creating financial products for millions of users - built around speed, liquidity, and user experience.
