Overview
ERC-8004 ('Trustless Agents') defines three on-chain registries: an Identity Registry (ERC-721-based portable identifiers), a Reputation Registry for standardized feedback, and a Validation Registry for cryptographic/economic verification of agent work. It is positioned as the trust layer for the open agent economy and is a companion to ERC-8183. Press reports cite large registration numbers (tens of thousands of agents within the first month of mainnet); such figures are self-reported/press-sourced and not independently verified here. Multiple reference implementations exist (e.g. ChaosChain, erc-8004/erc-8004-contracts).
