NEAR's docs describe Shade Agents as verifiable, trust-minimized agents that run in TEEs. They hold assets and sign transactions on most chains through on-chain signing, and a reference agent contract enforces guardrails. The framework is the Shade Agent API (npm @neardefi/shade-agent-js v2.2.0, 2026-06-04), the Shade Agent CLI (v2.4.0) and a shade-attestation package (v0.2.0). NEAR's docs say the framework 'has not yet undergone a formal audit'. The repo was pushed 2026-09-21 but has few stars (2).
