Alby runs a hosted x402 facilitator for Bitcoin Lightning at x402.albylabs.com, built on Nostr Wallet Connect: sellers connect a wallet and the facilitator confirms payment by looking the invoice up, rather than by checking a preimage. On 2026-09-24 its /supported endpoint advertised exact on bip122:000000000019d6689c085ae165831e93, the network id used before the x402 Foundation merged the Lightning spec with the lnbtc namespace on 2026-09-23, so clients built to the merged spec will not match it until it is updated. The repo was last pushed in May 2026.
