Overview

AgentCore Payments is a fully managed Amazon Bedrock AgentCore feature. It handles the agent side of HTTP 402 flows (x402 and the Machine Payments Protocol): receiving the payment request, signing through a configured wallet provider, and returning proof (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/bedrock-agentcore/latest/devguide/payments.html). Wallet providers are Coinbase CDP and Stripe (Privy). Each PaymentSession carries a maxSpendAmount and an expiry. It went GA on Aug 18, 2026 with MPP support, the x402 'upto' scheme and a curated Coinbase x402 Bazaar MCP server exposed through AgentCore Gateway (https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2026/08/bedrock-agentcore-payments-ga/). It launched in preview on May 7, 2026 with Coinbase and Stripe. AWS's own docs do not name the settlement chains; Base and Solana are as reported by InfoQ.
